On August 19, 2009, on presentation of a petition with over 1300 names, it was written in the minutes that a report would be prepared and submitted to a "forthcoming meeting of council" However, the General Manager appears to have overruled that decision and in a letter from council dated October 16, it was conveyed to us that "a report....will not be prepared until the Coastline Management Plan, currently being prepared by consultants, Worley Parsons, is adopted by Council. We cannot see that happening before June next year - and how many more metres of foredune.
Therefore we ask our community to get behind us in protest
